Synopsis

Jerusalem, 2010. Given the security situation, the city is inundated with warnings about terrorist attacks, border police blockades and military vehicles patrolling the streets while the city's walls are smeared with hateful slogans, distasteful graffiti and calls to demonstrate in favor of one cause and against another. In this delicate and insane fabric of hostility one family tries to cope with daily uncertainty and live its life.Dani, the head of the family, refuses to part from his military past and battles in Don Quixote fashion the anti Zionist graffiti that appears on the walls of his neighborhood every morning. Nava, his wife, is drawn more and more into the illness of her comatose mother, losing touch with her husband and children. Lior, the eldest son, is busy pleasing his father and his high school sweetheart, while  losing sight of his own desires. Ben, the youngest, lives in fear of terrorists and death, sleeping under his bed and building with his young friend  Dana a safe haven in his grandmother’s home. The main protagonist is Or, 17, who lost the young man she loved in a terrorist attack and who refuses to be consoled despite the passage of time. The stories reach their climax on a tragic night when the family is forced to confront itself, its fears and the downpour that threatens to wash everything away. This is a film about family, obsolete values and the search for love in a holy city devoid of God.
